Iowa Western Community College is a learning community committed to excellence in meeting educational needs and improving quality of life through programs, partnerships and community involvement. Through the work of its Entrepreneurial Center, IWCC places a high priority on entrepreneurial education, support and success.

The Iowa Western Small Business Development Center (SBDC) offers free one-on-one counseling and coaching with professionals who understand the needs and concerns of small business owners. Located at the IWCC E-Center, the Iowa Western SBDC is part of a statewide support system for entrepreneurs.

The IWCC Entrepreneurial Center works in partnership with the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center at the University of Iowa to provide an entrepreneurial experiential learning opportunity for students and entrepreneurial consulting services for businesses.

As a partner with families, schools and communities, the Loess Hills Area Education Agency 13 provides visionary leadership and focused services for learner success. IWCC’s Entrepreneurial Centers works closely with AEA13 to offer educational initiatives that support young and aspiring entrepreneurs.

In each of our communities throughout southwest Iowa, the E-Center collaborates with local Chambers of Commerce to secure resources, provide training and offer support to operating and aspiring business owners. Our Chamber partners include those located in Atlantic, Clarinda, Council Bluffs, Glenwood, Harlan, Missouri Valley, Shenandoah and Walnut.
