Mark holds an MBA from Drake University. He holds professional certifications in business valuation, economic development and development finance. He has business ownership experience in the retail and service industries. He has experience consulting with entrepreneurs and presenting on entrepreneurship topics.

Sue works with entrepreneurial businesses as a consultant and mentor. She has developed and facilitates many training programs covering topics such as start-up basics, marketing, market research and business finance. Sue previously was the executive director of the Denison, Iowa, Chamber of Commerce for nine years, during which time she also co-owned and operated family businesses in Denison.

Rex Hardie served as the Accounting Director for Iowa Western Communtiy College for over 20 years. After an early retirement in 2007, Rex began counseling clients at the IWCC SBDC center. Rex’s specialty is in accounting and finances. Rex is also very well versed in starting a business in Iowa and teaches our very popular start up “Smart Start” classes.

Coreen assists on all levels at the entrepreneurial center. She also assists Small Business Development Center clients with market research and navigating the many resources we have at the center. Coreen Owned and operated a home daycare for 10 years. She also served as the Program Associate for a social service program.
